    02What we found

What we found on 3 aesthetic-clinic websites

In aesthetics, each treatment is its own search. A client looking for one treatment lands on a page, or on a dead end. We checked only 3 websites, so treat this as what we saw on those three, not as a rule.

A link that leads to "page not found"

3 of 3 aesthetic-clinic websites we checked have a link that leads to a "page not found" message (broken link).

Why it costs enquiries. A broken link sends a would-be client to a dead end, right where they were about to find a treatment.

The fix. Click every link on the site once, then fix or remove the ones that fail.

No short summary under the link

2 of 3 aesthetic-clinic websites we checked have pages with no short summary for Google to show under the link (no meta description).

Why it costs enquiries. A treatment page with no summary leaves Google to show any line it likes, which can be a menu or a cookie notice.

The fix. Write one sentence for each treatment page: what the treatment is, and where to have it.

Page titles that do not say where or what

2 of 3 aesthetic-clinic websites we checked have page titles that do not say the area or the treatment, so a nearby patient cannot tell what the page is.

Why it costs enquiries. Each treatment is a separate search. A title that does not name the treatment gives that search no page to land on.

The fix. Name the treatment and the area in the title of its own page.

Each count is the number of our first-look reports on aesthetic-clinic websites that list the problem. It is not a full audit of any one site.
